True thermostatic control – no awful blasts of cold water!

Almost all of the  electric tankless water heater manufacturers don’t make systems that have this. Consequently they can’t hold a precise output temperature when the flow rate of the water changes. What this means is that the water temperature will fluctuate. So, you are winding down in a blissfullly hot shower, you turn the water up and wah! You are hit with a blast of much colder water. Brrrr.

The water flow rate and incoming water temperature is monitored all the time and it adjusts the power output so you get the temperature you desire! Mmm, that’s much more like it!

Several companies do use commercial plastics in the systems casings and even in the heat exchangers, which are less expensive than steel. With the Stiebel Eltron tankless water heaters, the materials used include steel casings and copper for the heating chamber.

All of the Tempra models actually use the same parts and technology, but they vary in the sizes and numbers of heating modules.
