If you take a moment to consider what a shower is for and realise that it is primarily designed to spray water over someone then you may think that there is little room for innovation. But with the price of technology becoming cheaper and cheaper, it looks as though we are seeing it become a part of so many different aspects of our lives. So is there any room for technology when it comes to a shower?
Well to start with you can now have a shower that reads the temperature of the water and changes the colour of the shower head through the use of coloured LED lights to notify you when your water is warm enough. While a lot of people will see this as a novelty item, they are really becoming very popular.
There are also showers that come with jets all along the length of the wall and these high powered jets will give you an all over shower. These showers have come a long way since the days when we had a shower head which just trickled water over your body and which were not very powerful at all. With these multiple jet showers you get completely soaked through as soon as you get into the shower.
Believe it or not, you can now buy high tech shower cubicles as well as high tech showers; some cubicles can even be bought with waterproof speakers. So if you are having a shower and getting ready for a night on the town, you can listen to some music while you are showering away.
The truth is though that most people just want a shower that fits in with their bathroom and does the job in a very basic fashion and despite all these innovations being fun they rarely list as anything other than novelty items. Hence the reason why there is still a very limited market for most of the shower fittings mentioned here.
When looking at cheap bathrooms, it’s always good to get the opinion of an expert. They will look at things like the bath panels and taps giving you some reassurance.
