There are many different ways to use wall tiles in your loo.  Regularly bathroom wall tiles are little with a light coloured grout.  Often times they will include some type of decorative component round the edges of the tiles.  While it is not unnormal to see the tub surround or shower stall tiled a new trend nowadays is to tile the whole bathroom.  This means that all the walls of the bathroom would be tiled from ceiling to floor.  Another modern trend in bathroom wall tile design is to use larger tiles such as 8.5 inch by 8.5 in. instead of the often four x 4 tiles from days gone by.   

bigger tiles are the only option if you’ll be tiling all the walls of the entire bog.  Using larger tiles can shed light on the project and will most likely be more cost effective than using small tiles.  Bigger tiles also mean a reduced amount of grout lines which will need to be cleaned.   

The spacing between the bathroom wall tiles will be a matter of personal taste.  Oblong lavatory wall tiles often look best when they’re placed close together with a slim line of grout between them.  Thin grout lines also incline to look best with glossy tiles as they don’t break up the glossy finish as much.   

When choosing tiles for your loo walls consider adding a few tiles in contrasting colours spaced across the room.  This will make a random pattern which can be terribly eye catching.  This is a simple way to add some appeal and color to your bog.  Another possibility is to get a tile that has a pattern which is similar in color to your other tiles.  These patterned tiles can be at random placed thru the room for a more subtle look.  To add interest to the room you may also want to use dark grout rather than light.  Dark grout can add visual interest and can also be better to continue looking clean.
